The Quirky Bird Lifestyle Gear brand was developed with individuality and sustainability in mind. Knowing how complex and fascinating humans are inspired me to start this journey of using bold images, colours and text to represent our lifestyle choices. Then there was the question of sustainability, the one thing I was sure of was that I did not want to deal with any imports from China. Sure, I could have bought cheap, sold cheap and made a good profit but this was a no,no for me. I carefully considered what I would expect from a product and it`s manufacturing journey and whether I would be prepared to pay a little more in the name of sustainability and supporting local UK manufacturers. The answer was a resounding `Yes`so, I opted for the latter. Many hours of research led me to sourcing products, manufactured using renewable energy technology. Investing in individuality, lifestyle choices and sustainability seemed to be a good starting point and so began the journey of Quirky Bird Lifestyle Gear. Quirky Bird is a `one man band` - remember the guy on the high street playing the drum with his foot, tambourine strapped to his other foot, guitar in hand with harmonica mounted on his guitar with wire - knocking out an epic beat ? Yes, that`s me, a `a one man band` I do it all from design to listing each and every product, style, accessory.
